Job Title:  Senior Research Scientist: Experimental Search

This position will develop and implement a group developing algorithms for search query optimization. This individual will be a key member of the search analytics team within our new Research group. Will design and develop new algorithms and associated wrapper applications to support our company's core Enterprise Search functions. This position will be responsible for building and contributing innovative solutions to this new team, as well as interfacing with our Products group, as necessary, to achieve company goals in:

* Natural language processing

* Text Processing

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include software evaluation, development, and support for Enterprise Search systems. This individual will be a primary technical contributor to algorithmic search processes. These functions include but are not limited to Informatics, Semantic Web, Ontology, and Algorithms deployment. Must be able to translate scientific ideas into effective prototype solutions for delivery to the Products group.

Note: This position will grant a great deal of flexibility and independence of thought. The successful candidate will have the self-discipline to thrive in a project/deadlines environment and manage time effectively.

Qualifications: 5 + years using Python, Java, C, C++, or Lisp.  Experience in Informatics is a plus.

Excellent communication skills required as this individual will be considered a ‘subject matter expert’ and must therefore speak with authority.

Education Requirements:   PhD or equivalent industry experience, min of Masters preferred. Prior Publications in Information retrieval preferred.
